SPAIN: REQUIREMENTS

To qualify for this programme, the following conditions need to be met:

      1. Carry out the work remotely. Additionally, it is required to justify you have been working by distance for at least 3 months prior to your application.
      2. Justify you have sufficient financial means to be able to reside in Spain.
      3. Have obtained a degree from a recognised university, business school or justify at least 3 years of professional work experience.

SPAIN: DOCUMEMTS

All documents will have to be translated into Spanish by an official translator. Some of the documents will also have to be legalised according to Spanish local guidelines. Below is a general list of the documents required: 

      1. Passport.
      2. National Identification Card.
      3. Diplomas.
      4. Police certificate.
      5. Birth certificate.
      6. Marriage certificate and/or family booklet, if applicable.
      7. Medical insurance covering all health risks in Spain during the stay.
      8. Work agreement, paycheques and confirmation documents allowing you to carry out the work remotely in Spain.
      9. Documentary proof of financial means.
      10. Bank attestation and bank statements.

SPAIN: PROCESS

The following is a step-by-step general process we tend to follow with our clients:

      1. The initial step of the process is to have a first meeting to provide you with all the necessary information, evaluate your profile and answer any questions you may have. 
      2. All your documents will need to be legalised and translated into Spanish. We will guide you and review your documents to make sure the format is acceptable by the Spanish authorities.
      3. We will guide you through the process of subscribing to a medical insurance that will be valid in Spain.
      4. Our team will help you obtain a N.I.E (Foreign Identity Number) in Spain.
      5. We will assist you in opening a bank account and finding a property in Spain.
      6. Once your application file is complete, you will be able to present it to the Spanish consular authorities in your place of residence. If your application is approved, you will obtain a national Spanish visa valid for a period of 12 months.
      7. You will have to travel to Spain in order to validate your visa and obtain your first residence permit, valid for 1 year.
      8. After residing in Spain for 5 years, you can apply for a permanent residence, valid for 10 years. 
      9. Finally, after living in Spain for 10 years, you can apply for Spanish citizenship by naturalisation.
