BRAZIL: REQUIREMENTS

In order to submit an application for the Brazilian investor visa, you should satisfy the following requirements:

  • Invest at least R $ 150,000  (approximately €23,000 or $26,000 USD) in an existing Brazilian business or a new company. If the visa is intended for a manager, director or executive with management powers, the minimum investment required is R $ 600,000 (approximately €90,000 or $106,000);
  • Acquire or rent a property in Brazil for the entire intended stay;
  • Stay in the country at least 6 months per year to maintain the residency.

  12. After 4 years of holding a permanent residency in Brazil, you may be eligible to apply for citizenship. Dual citizenship is recognized in Brazil: you won’t need to renounce your previous nationality to become a citizen of Brazil.
